Landlord Notification Program
New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) offers a Landlord Notification Program to help prevent the unnecessary discontinuation of natural gas service at your rental property, especially during the winter months. By signing up for the program, we will notify you when a tenant’s natural gas service is scheduled to be turned off due to a voluntary request or delinquent account. At that time, you can have the service placed under your name for a $15 account opening fee.
As the landlord, you will assume full responsibility of payment after the service has been transferred to your name. However, delinquency of your NJNG account could result in termination of the below mentioned notification agreements and/or discontinuance of service for the residence in question.*

To enroll in a Landlord Notification Program, click on Contact Us located at the bottom of the webpage. Scroll down to the form and in the “Topic” field select “Landlord Notification.” Please let us know your landlord notification preference in the “Comments” section of the form.
