Raising, Demolition, Service Disconnection and Restoration
For security purposes, the customer of record is required to contact us. You may grant your contractor to act on your behalf by completing and returning the Work Request for Contractor Designation form to us.
Access the form or send an email to CustomerCare@njng.com (residential customers) OR BusinessCare@njng.com (commercial customers)with your name, address, account number and request. Please indicate in your email your preferred method for receiving the form.
There will be a cost to have your natural gas service disconnected and/or re-established. The cost will vary. NJNG will provide a contract with these costs prior to the start of the work.
You may also receive a bill for any natural gas usage charges incurred prior to the demolition/raising. And there may be fees (street opening permits, etc.) assessed by your township.
